I have known Sarah as a friend for several years. Even before she decided to get certified as a trauma coach, I knew she had many of the qualities that make her so well suited to this work. We both have personal histories of trauma, and over the years we have had many thoughtful conversations about the ways trauma can shape how we move through life, the obstacles it can create, and what it can take to move forward. Early in our friendship, I noticed that Sarah is someone who naturally listens deeply, asks meaningful questions, and helps people see things from a different perspective.
I was thrilled when she decided to pursue trauma coaching, because it felt like such a natural extension of who she already was: compassionate, empathetic, insightful, intelligent, grounded, and remarkably nonjudgmental.
When I had the opportunity to do a coaching session with her, those qualities came through even more clearly. The session felt conversational and dynamic rather than forced or scripted. She asked thoughtful questions that helped me reframe some of what I was experiencing, particularly the frustration and self-criticism I had been feeling while dealing with a significant arm injury. She helped me recognize that struggling under those circumstances was understandable, especially within the context of prior trauma, while also helping me see that I was handling things better than I was giving myself credit for.
Most importantly, I left the session feeling both validated and empowered. I had a couple of concrete steps in mind that felt realistic and manageable, rather than an overwhelming list of things I was supposed to fix. That balance of understanding, insight, and practical forward movement is something I found genuinely valuable.
I would strongly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for thoughtful, trauma-informed support. She has a rare ability to make people feel accepted, understood, and capable of moving forward, and I believe people from many different backgrounds and life circumstances would feel welcome and safe working with her.
